Project Profile: Cascade Pump, Santa Fe Springs, Calif.
2003 Contract Value: $92,880.00
2010 Contract Value: $228,000.00
Cascade Pump, www.cascadepump.com, is a large
designer/manufacturer of axial and mixed flow pumps and piping connections for world wide use in environmental,
industrial, water treatment, irrigation, and marine applications. They were planning to remodel and expand their
current corporate office into a state of the art, modern, energy efficient facility as well as upgrade the entire
front of their 10 acre site with new hardscape, landscape parking lot and a guard shack/security entrance.
A&F Electric, Inc. was awarded the contract to provide electrical construction for
their new 8,915 square foot corporate office remodel and expansion. This project included the total remodel of
the existing 7,645 square foot office, a 1,270 square foot ground up addition, four new panels and two transformers,
all new high end lighting system, 5,300 square foot raised computer floor area, electrical support for new HVAC systems,
and a new exterior parking lot and landscape lighting system.
The owner was striving to make their new office "green" and wanted to have one of the
most energy efficient lighting control systems available. For this the design engineer chose a high end Lutron
dimming / lighting control system with automatic light level sensors, daylight over-ride sensors and complete
automatic dimming controls. This system allowed for automatic interior light level reductions due to daylight levels coming thru windows and roof top sky lights as well as area occupancy sensors providing significant energy savings.
The construction is scheduled for completion in November of 2010.
This is the second project awarded to A&F at Cascade Pump. In 2003 A&F completed a design and build 2,000A main service upgrade, SCE underground addition and 25,000 square foot warehouse addition.
